Dr Brian Harrisberg is an expert in cataract surgery, refractive surgery and diabetic eye disease with many years of experience.

As one of Australia’s leading ophthalmologists he offers the latest innovations in surgery. Dr Harrisberg is a pioneer in implanting sulcoflex piggyback intraocular lenses in Australia and the first surgeon to implant a Scharioth Macula Lens (SML) for macular degeneration in Australia. He is considered an expert in diabetic eye disease, cataract and refractive surgery. Outside of work Brian is married to general practitioner Jill and has two children. His son, who has type 1 diabetes, is a passionate diabetes educator and exercise physiologist. His daughter is a doctor in emergency medicine. He is also a talented wildlife photographer, and his photographs are on display in the practice and Instagram (birds.nature.world). He also loves golf and adventure trails.
