Dr Brian Harrisberg
MB BCh, FRACS FRANZCO

Cataract & Refractive Surgery, Diabetic Eye Disease, General Ophthalmology
Dr Brian Harrisberg graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa with a Bachelor Degree in Medicine in 1982. He completed his ophthalmology training in Sydney, Australia and was subsequently elected as a Fellow to the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologists in 1991. He has completed a fellowship in refractive surgery.


Dr Harrisberg subspecialises in cataract, refractive surgery and diabetic eye disease.

Dr Harrisberg has published research papers in peer-reviewed journals and has presented lectures in Australia and at international ophthalmology meetings and conferences. He is a clinical lecturer at Sydney University and is Visiting Medical Officer at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Dr Harrisberg is a fellow of The Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists.

Dr Gayatri Banerjee
MBBS (UNSW) (Hons), FRCOphth, FRANZCO

Dr Gayatri Banerjee graduated with Honours from the University of New South Wales, and trained extensively in Ophthalmology at some of the leading centres in the world including Oxford, London, Melbourne, Sydney and Houston Texas USA, completing dual specialist ophthalmology training from both the prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital, London and Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney.

She undertook a further 2 years of subspecialist fellowship training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London with a special interest in diabetes, macular degeneration and retinal disorders, and has participated in many multicentre clinical trials in Ophthalmology. She has also worked with the Royal Flying Doctor Service Outback Eye Program and has an interest in teaching and public speaking.

Dr Banerjee is Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologists, Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, European Society of Retina Specialists, American Society of Retina Specialists and Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine

Dr Noni Lewis
BSc (Med), MBBS, MPH, FRANZCO

Corneal Surgery, Cataract Surgery, General Ophthalmology
Dr Noni Lewis studied undergraduate medicine and Masters of Public Health at UNSW before commencing training in ophthalmology at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney. A further two years subspecialty study in Cornea, Cataract and Refractive surgery at the renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London was completed before returning to practice in Sydney.

Dr Lewis holds public appointments at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney Eye Hospital/Prince of Wales Hospital and Griffith Base Hospital. Her interests include cornea and cataract surgery, laser refractive surgery, corneal collagen crosslinking and Botulinum toxin for cosmetic and therapeutic periocular use

Dr Jay Yohendran
MBBS (Hons), MPH, B Med Sci, JP FRANZCO

Glaucoma, Cataract Surgery,General Ophthalmology
Dr Jay Yohendran graduated with Honors from the University of Sydney Medical School in 2001. He has also completed a Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Sydney and a Masters of Public Health at the University of NSW. He undertook ophthalmology training at the prestigious Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne. He returned to Sydney to complete his Fellowship in general ophthalmology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in 2010, whilst undertaking a Masters of Refractive Surgery at Sydney University.

Dr Yohendran has published multiple papers in local and international peer-reviewed journals, and has an ongoing commitment to clinical research.

In 2011 Dr Yohendran joined Central Sydney Eye Surgeons, and will also work at the Glaucoma Unit of Sydney Eye Hospital.

Dr Yohendran’s main interests include general ophthalmology, glaucoma, and cataract surgery. He also has an interest in public health, patient advocacy, and refractive outcomes with cataract surgery.
