How
much is the procedure?
We have a special offer of $1975 per eye for laser eye surgery. Limited time only. This fee includes all post operative consultations for 12 months.
What
postoperative care is required?
All patients are reviewed the day after the procedure. Generally after this time patients are then reviewed at 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months. However if you have any concerns Dr Harrisberg will see you at any time.
Does
it hurt?
The procedure is done under local anaesthetic so does not hurt at all. During the procedure all you may be aware of the pressure from the suction ring at which time your vision may dull. After the anaesthetic wears off the eye will water and be slightly irritated, this is normal and will pass quickly.
Can
I go blind?
Theoretically there is a small chance of going blind. No procedure is without risks, however with the technology used and the surgeon's experience the risks are very low. There have been no reported cases of blindness due to refractive surgery in Australia.
What
other risks are there?
No procedure is totally risk free, however all risks are discussed with you during the initial consult. This consult is done in a relaxed and non threatening environment, all questions you have will be answered. After you have all the information you will be asked to way up the pro’s and con’s before consenting to have the surgery done.
Do
you do both eyes at the same time?
Both eye are routinely done at the same time, however if you prefer one eye can be done at a time. The best way forward is to discuss these and any other questions you may have at a consultation. Click here to book now.
